There is writings in the Talmud that when the Messiah comes some of the Rabbi's did not want to be around. They also said that many people will be discredited - including some academics.
Why would that be? Maybe because truth is important, just a thought.
Interesting, another quote ... the temple was destroyed for hatred without a cause, what does that mean? Whatever it means, you find this in the gospel of John coming from the mouth of Jesus.
