A SYSTEMATIC CAMPAIGN TO DESTROY PEOPLE FROM THE INSIDE
Zersetzung (German for "decomposition" or "rotting from within") was a covert psychological warfare strategy used by the East German Stasi (Ministry for State Security) to weaken, control, and destroy individuals without leaving visible evidence. It targeted perceived opponents, critics, dissidents, and anyone considered a threat to the regime.
