 There is no recorded instance in history prior to 2026 where Tisha B'Av fell exactly on July 22 and Mawlid al-Nabi fell exactly on August 24 in the same year.  Mawlid al-Nabi began on the evening of August 24, 2026, marking the annual observance of the birth of Prophet Muhammad

• The Hijri Calendar Drift: The Islamic calendar is purely lunar and loses roughly 11 days per year relative to the Gregorian calendar. A specific date like Mawlid (12 Rabi' al-Awwal) only returns to a specific Gregorian date (like August 24) roughly every 33 solar years.
• The Hebrew Calendar Constraint: The Hebrew calendar uses a lunisolar system with regular leap months to remain anchored to the seasons. Because of this, Tisha B'Av (9th of Av) is locked within a strict window, usually falling between mid-July and early August.
• The Missing Intersection: For both dates to line up perfectly in the same year (July 22 and August 24), the 33-year Islamic solar cycle must intersect perfectly with a year in which the Hebrew calendar's shifts place Tisha B'Av precisely on July 22. In the cycles prior to 2026 (such as 1993, 1960, and 1928), the dates failed to match up simultaneously.
