Rather than limiting his analysis to a single modality, Dr. Giordano routinely categorizes these threats into generations of directed energy technology and highlights how they can even be used in tandem.
1. Acoustics and Ultrasound (First Generation)
In his forensic analysis of the "Havana Syndrome" incidents, Dr. Giordano noted that ultrasonic and acoustic exposures are highly probable mechanisms.
- The Mechanism: High-intensity ultrasound waves overexcite hollow, fluid-filled structures in the body, primarily the inner ear.
- The Harm: This acoustic overexcitation triggers a process called cavitation—the rapid formation and violent bursting of microscopic air bubbles in bodily fluids. When this happens near the vestibular and cochlear aqueducts, the bursting bubbles travel through the blood pathways directly to the brain. 2. Electromagnetic and Radiofrequencies (Next Generation)
